Day 6:Guided City Tour to Explore the Imperial City of Fez, and head to Chefchaouen

Embark on a mesmerizing journey through Fez, the oldest of the imperial cities, founded back in 790 A.D. Its rich history and cultural heritage are tangible in every corner of the city, with the world’s first university dating back to the 9th century. Stroll through the charming medieval medina that is one of the most complete and well-preserved in the world. Peer upon magnificent landmarks such as the Karaouine University, Medersa Attarine, the Kingdom Palace, and bustling souks brimming with life and activity. Experience the soul of Morocco firsthand as you explore the city’s captivating visual details, haunting sounds, and enticing aromas. Spend the night at the Riad, savoring the ambiance of Far-Eastern opulence.

In the afternoon, we head to the enchanting ‘Blue Town,’ where life is lived according to traditional Moroccan customs. Discover a plethora of shops featuring locally crafted goods, tailors hand-sewing elegant Djellaba, fresh butchers, grocers, and more. Even though candle-stick makers may not be as prevalent, there is no shortage of life and activity here. Take some time to explore the new town boasting breathtaking Andalusian architecture and a charming park at the end of Avenida Mohammed V.

Day 7:Visit the blue city of Chefchaouen and spend the night in Rabat the capital of Morocco

Indulge in a mouthwatering breakfast, and then set out on a journey to discover the hidden gem of Chefchaouen. This charming city has remained mostly untouched since the 15th century, exuding a relaxing atmosphere with some of the friendliest people in the country. Known for its blue-washed buildings in the historic medina, you will explore its narrow streets and alleyways that cling to the northern hillside of the mountains.

Make your way to Plaza Outa el-Hammam, the main square named after the many hammams (public baths) that used to surround it. Take respite at one of the local restaurants or cafes, savoring traditional bites before delving into the many shops offering a myriad of traditional wares. Then, visit the Grand Mosque and kasbah, immersing yourself in the rich history of this old fortress or fortification. Tour the kasbah’s garden, museum, and even the old prison cells, taking in the captivating stories of yesteryear. Ascend the path to the white Spanish Mosque (20 to 30 minutes), absorbing the breathtaking views of Chefchaouen as the sun sets behind the mountains. Savor this last peaceful moment, taking with you the unforgettable memories of Chefchaouen.

As the evening approaches, we will drive to Rabat the capital of Morocco with an overnight at the Hotel.

Day 8:Visit Rabat and the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, onwards to the imperial city of Marrakech

Embark on a captivating journey to the cosmopolitan city of Rabat, sitting gracefully by the Atlantic coast and the Bou Regreg river. Begin your adventure by traversing the Chellah Necropolis, an awe-inspiring fortified medieval city at the heart of Rabat. Admire the harmonious blend of Roman and Islamic ruins that dot the enchanting grounds, and marvel at the unique architectural designs that tell stories of times long gone.

Pass through the grand entrance of the Kasbah des Oudaias, immersing yourself in the original site of Rabat. Although mostly a residential area today, wander the tranquil white and blue-washed streets and engage in conversations with the friendly locals. Take a moment to visit the Andalusian Gardens, built in the 20th century by the French, and escape the crowds in the serene surroundings of the gardens.

Next, discover the Hassan Tower, a towering minaret of the unfinished mosque, and visit the Mausoleum of Mohamed V. Engage your senses with the magnificent art and history on display, and learn about the awe-inspiring architectural feats that adorn it.

As your journey continues, head to the bustling city of Casablanca, where you will visit the grand Hassan II Mosque and immerse yourself in its awe-inspiring grandeur.
