After breakfast at the Riad, we will drive to Dades gorges, by crossing the High Atlas mountains and ‘Tizi N’tichka’ pass , which is the highest road pass in Morocco at 2260m altitude, where we will also stop for you at various panoramic views in order to take pictures. Then we will visit one of the oldest beautiful Kasbahs in Morocco, That is called Ait Benhadou, a Kasbah of the 16th century recognized by the Unesco, where we will stay for lunch in a local restaurant. After that, we will continue our journey to Ouarzazate (The African Hollywood), where we will visit Atlas Studios of cinema and Taourirt Kasbah. Then we will move to the Roses valley and through the way of 1000 Kasbahs. Overnight and Dinner at Dades Valley, in the upper Gorges.
After having breakfast you will meet your local guide to start a hiking tour between 5 and 6 hours to visit the berber villages, Atlas mountains range and the Jebel Saghro summit. This area has evolved over the centuries, giving its rocks their present-day appearance.
Next, hike the paths that line the cliffs of Tamlalt, nicknamed “the Monkey Fingers.” Take in the unparalleled landscape as you walk among rounded ocher rocks. Travelers who enjoy both culture and adventure can journey through the region’s Berber villages. Traditional houses sometimes merge with the rock in these green oases in the middle of the rocky valley.
Spend the night in the Hotel with dinner.
After breakfast, head to the Roses Valley to Kelaa Mgouna, a famous rose plantation. Visit one of the rose-growing cooperatives. Continue through palm groves of the Skoura oasis. Travel through Telouet, one of the grandest of all the Atlas fortresses – the Kasbah of Telouet. At an altitude of over 7000 feet, this is the one-time strategic home of the ‘Lord of the Atlas’, the warrior brothers Glaoui, who ruled and rampaged over southern Morocco during the French Protectorate. Sir Winston Churchill and other VIPs were once on the exclusive guest list. The splendor of the Kasbah is gently fading, yet there is more than enough left of this fascinating and ancient residence to give you a fine example of another epoch in Morocco’s colorful history.
Afternoon, take the Tizi-n-Tichka pass through Atlas mountain. In the early evening, arrive at the Riad in Marrakech where you will spend the night.
