Itinerary: Morocco 10 day itinerary from Marrakech

Day 1: Arrival to Marrakesh with an Airport transfer

As soon as you land at Marrakesh Airport, we will be there to greet you with a warm welcome. Our experienced driver will be waiting for you outside of the airport’s main entrance, holding a sign with your name on it. From there, we will escort you to your hotel for a seamless check-in process.

During the drive, our trusted driver will share insider tips about the city and answer any questions you may have. We understand how tiring travelling can be, so we want to make sure your arrival is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Day 2:Marrakesh sightseeing - Guided city Tour

Prepare to immerse yourself in the rich culture of Marrakesh on a private guided tour. Your expert guide will take you on a journey through time as you discover the city’s most iconic landmarks.

First on the itinerary is a visit to the Koutoubia Minaret, an architectural marvel that is over 800 years old. Next, we’ll explore the Medrassa Ben Youssef, a historic Islamic college that is famous for its intricate tilework and elaborate carvings. Then, we’ll make our way to the bustling Jamaa El fna Square, where you’ll experience the vibrant energy of local craftsmen, musicians, and storytellers.

After lunch, we’ll venture into the new city, starting with the Gueliz district, which is known for its vibrant street art and chic cafes. We’ll then continue to the Menara Garden’s, a scenic oasis that features a beautiful lake and stunning mountain views.

Our last stop will be the enchanting Majorelle Garden’s, a lush botanical paradise that was owned by the legendary fashion designer, Yves Saint Laurent.

Day 3:Depart to Dades Gorges through the High Atlas Mountains, visit Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate

Embark on an unforgettable journey departing at 8:00am, where we will collect you from your Hotel or Riad. Our scenic route will take us through the majestic High Atlas mountains and the breathtaking ‘Tizi N’tichka’ pass – standing tall at 2260m above sea level. Along the way, we will make a few stops to capture panoramic views that are sure to take your breath away.

Upon arriving at Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is recognised by UNESCO, our expert local guide will take you through the fascinating Kasbahs. While you are taking in all the wonders of this ancient place, we will pause for lunch in a nearby local restaurant. Next, we will visit the Cinema Atlas Studios and Taourirte Kasbah in Ouarzazate, which is optional and recommended.

Finally, we will set our sights on the Roses valley, travelling on the road of 1000 Kasbahs. Overnight with dinner awaits you at the Dades Valley, located in the upper Gorges. Get ready for an experience that will stay with you forever.

Day 4:Visit the Todra Gorges and head to Merzouga, camel Trek and night in the Camp at Erg Chebbi Desert

Begin your day by indulging in a delightful homemade breakfast before taking a picturesque drive to Todra Gorges, an area renowned for exhilarating rock climbing and scenic walks. After basking in the beauty of the vast river, we make our way to Erfoud, where fossilized marbles are a must-see attraction. As evening approaches, we reach the Merzouga desert, where camel guides eagerly await to take you on an unforgettable camel trek to our campsite amidst the stunning sand dunes. Upon your arrival, a friendly welcome and a refreshing cup of tea awaits you, while our team carefully transports your belongings to your own private luxurious tent. Each tent is furnished with premium amenities, such as cozy mattresses, blankets, a hot shower, and a private toilet. A lavish Moroccan dinner will be served, followed by a captivating Berber music performance accompanied by the beat of the drums against the backdrop of a star-lit sky.

 

Day 5:Sunrise over the Dunes, following Lunch in Midelt we Continue to Fez through Ifrane

Experience a breathtaking sunrise over the majestic dunes early in the morning before savouring a delightful breakfast. Afterwards, we will embark on a return journey to the vehicle, either by camel or 4WD, thus concluding our stay in the mesmerizing Merzouga desert. Our adventure continues as we set off towards the picturesque Ziz valley, stopping along the way to capture memories of the awe-inspiring palm oasis and gorges. Enjoy a lunch break in a local restaurant in the charming town of Midelt before continuing to Azrou, crossing over the scenic Middle Atlas mountains. Before arriving in the exquisite city of Fez, we will take a refreshing break in Ifrane, a town boasting of European-style architecture. Finally, we will reach Fez, where we will spend the night in your Riad/Hotel, marking the end of a perfect adventure.

Day 6:Guided City Tour to Explore the Imperial City of Fez, and head to Chefchaouen

Begin your adventure in Fez, the oldest imperial city in Morocco. As one of the most complete medieval cities in the world, it is home to the world’s first university dating back to the 9th century. It’s a city that seems to exist somewhere between the middle ages and today, a true soul of Morocco that stimulates all your senses with its visual details, haunting sounds, and rich aromas. Explore the medieval Medina, Karaouine University, Medersa Attarine, Kingdom Palace, and souks with the help of a knowledgeable guide.

In the afternoon, we arrive at the magnificent ‘Blue Town,’ where you’ll be awed by the fascinating blend of Moroccan life as lived by the people of Chaouen. For every shop selling tourist gifts, there are also shoe repairers, grocers, stationers, and sweets vendors. And don’t miss the new town, which has some lovely examples of Andalusian architecture and a charming park at the end of Avenida Mohammed V.

 

Day 7:Visit the Blue city of Chefchaouen and head to Tangier

Embark on a journey to the charming, almost untouched city of Chefchaouen, which dates back to the 15th century. With its blue-washed buildings and relaxed atmosphere, the friendly inhabitants make it one of the most pleasant cities in Morocco. Get lost in its narrow streets and alleyways which climb up the northern hillside of the mountains.

Explore Plaza Outa el-Hammam, the main square surrounded by public baths. Take a break in one of the many restaurants or cafes and sample traditional dishes before venturing into the numerous shops selling local handicrafts. Visit Grand Mosque and kasbah, where you’ll be amazed by the garden, museum and even some old prison cells.

As the day turns to night, we’ll then take you to Tangier and drop you off at the hotel for a seamless check-in.

 

Day 8:Tangier sightseeing, visit hercule cave, Asilah, Rabat

After a delicious breakfast, we’ll treat you to a breathtaking panoramic view of the stunning sea coast before heading to the impressive Hercule cave.

Next, we’ll head to Rabat, the vibrant capital city of Morocco. A marvel of the medieval Moorish world, Rabat is famed for its awe-inspiring minaret.

Retreat to your luxurious Riad/Hotel for a comfortable and relaxing overnight stay.

 

Day 9:Visit Rabat and the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, onwards to the Imperial city of Marrakech

Be swept away by the beauty and history of Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Located on the striking Atlantic coast and the Bou Regreg River, Rabat offers a fascinating glimpse into the past. Visit the Chellah Necropolis, an impressive fortified city from medieval times. Immerse yourself in the original site of Rabat at Kasbah des Oudaias, a peaceful and picturesque residential area that beckons you to wander its white and blue-washed streets. Take a stroll through the Andalusian Gardens, a serene spot created by the French in the 20th century.

Your journey then takes you to Casablanca, where you will encounter the awe-inspiring Hassan II Mosque. Feast your eyes on the stunning Corniche, Mohammed V place, United Nations place, law court, the prefecture, and central post office. As the afternoon draws to a close, you will make your way back to Marrakech for a relaxing night at the Hotel.

 

Day 10: Depart to Marrakech Airport

Head to the airport now! To ensure a smooth and stress-free travel experience, be sure to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to your flight. To make sure your transportation is arranged seamlessly, we will plan your departure accordingly.
